Event Details
The British Chamber is honoured to invite the Rt. Hon Sir Dr Vince Cable to our upcoming UK-China Dialogue, to discuss the current and future state of UK-China relations.
As the UK is one step closing to getting a new prime minister, how do the two final candidates Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak differ in terms of their domestic and foreign policies? What are their solutions to tackling the mounting challenging facing the UK at the moment - including inflation, cost of living crisis, war in Ukraine and its economic fallout, and the loose-ends of Brexit? And what are their agenda to advancing relations with China in the next two years?
We will hear directly from Sir Vince Cable about his perspective on the new conservative leadership and its impact on UK's relations with China and the world, his personal experience as the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills during the "Golden Era" of UK-China relations, as well as the areas of mutual opportunities that can advance cooperations between the two countries.
