Event Details

Join us for our third annual Corporate Wellbeing Day on Tuesday 26th August, delivered by the British Chamber of Commerce in China and United Family Healthcare. This year's theme, Leadership in Focus, will examine how to lead diverse, multicultural and multilingual teams with empathy, kindness, and excellence.

This hands-on afternoon event will feature seminars on the importance of staff wellbeing to companies, practical tips for employers on managing stress and anxiety in the workplace, and tutorials for simple, office-based classes that they can run to encourage healthy work habits.

Previous editions of this successful event have drawn together over 60 HR representatives, small business owners, and others with an interest in people management for an insightful afternoon of workshops, seminars, and panel discussions. With expertise drawn from across the Chamber network and beyond, this important event provides learning opportunities for business leaders of all sizes in managing their teams with empathy, kindness, and excellence. Click here to learn more about our previous event in 2024, and here for our 2023 edition.

In today’s high-pressure, high-speed business world — especially in China’s fast-moving market — kindness is often underestimated as a leadership skill. But far from being “soft,” leading with empathy creates stronger, more resilient teams, improves performance, and builds cultures people want to stay in. This panel will explore how leaders can maintain compassion and clarity, even under pressure, and why intention, cultural understanding, and psychological safety are the true markers of modern leadership success.
