The BritCham Webinar Series brings you the very latest in updates, information and analysis for business, during the Coronavirus outbreak. These webinars will cover several different topics, useful for all levels of management and the workforce, with updates from government, policy analysts as well as economists. We will focus not only on the Covid-19 outbreak but also on wider UK-China relations, as well as business and cultural topics.
The second webinar comes on the back of the 2nd British Business in China 'Impact of Covid-19' survey which asked British business what the outbreak actually meant for their 2020 revenue, strategy, operations and what support was needed from the UK government.
St. John Moore, Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in China, will breakdown the results and also speak with HM Trade Commissioner, Richard Burn on what measures the UK government are putting in place to support British business in China.

The announcement comes during a UK trade visit to China led by the Prime Minister in which she announced around £9 billion of new deals for British companies.
Trade between the 2 countries is at record levels, worth over £59 billion annually, with British exports to China growing by more than 60% since 2010. The UK is already one of the largest European recipients of Chinese foreign direct investment.
Leading a delegation of more than 50 businesses to China, Dr Fox announced the first HMTC to head the global operations of the Department for International Trade (DIT) in China.
Each of the HMTCs will lead on export promotion, inward and outward investment, and trade policy overseas on behalf of the UK government. Their work will include developing and delivering a regional trade plan setting out DIT’s priorities in important global markets.
