The British Chamber of Commerce in China invite you to a members only 'welcome back' drinks with Graham Stuart MP​ (Minister for Investment at the Department for International Trade).


This is the first visit by a UK government Minister following the creation of the new government, and as the UK approaches its October 31st Brexit deadline. The Minister is visiting China as a priority, to boost our trade with one of the UK's largest trading partners, building on our extensive trading relationship and make clear that the UK is the partner of choice for Chinese businesses.


Join fellow members for an evening drinks reception on the 4th floor terrace at Kerry Hotel to catch up after the summer break and to hear the latest from the UK government.

    Graham Stuart was elected as the Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness in 2005. He became Minister for Investment at the Department for International Trade in January 2018.

    Graham was born in Carlisle. He attended school in Scotland before going to Selwyn College, Cambridge to read philosophy and law.

    At Cambridge he chaired the Cambridge University Conservative Association, and founded ‘What’s On in Cambridge’

    After university Graham developed a successful career in publishing, and was a member of Cambridge City Council from 1998 to 2004.

    In Parliament Graham:

    chaired the Education Select Committee (2010 to 2015)
    was Assistant Government Whip with responsibility for the Department of Health, and later for HM Treasury and the Ministry of Defence (2016 to 2018)
