Julian is the cofounder of Venture Education, Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce in China and Chair of the Chamber's Education Forum.
 
Venture Education empowers UK education in China through research, events, consultancy and partnerships with focuses on confidence building, student transition, employability and gender equality.

Chad Futrell is the Assistant Dean of Student Life at Schwarzman Scholars, Tsinghua University where he oversees the Deep Dive course and language programs. He also launched and implemented the Practical Training Program where he secured over 400 internship placements at top companies and international organizations in Beijing. He was previously the Center Director of the CIEE Study Center at Peking University and Minzu University of China where he launched service-learning and internship programs. He earned an MS and passed his doctoral qualifying exams in Development Sociology at Cornell University. He completed his undergrad at UNC-Chapel Hill, and earned certificates in Asian Studies, Chinese language, and Korean language from Cornell, IUP-Tsinghua, and Sogang Universities, respectively. He was a Fulbright-Hays, FLAS, and Korea Foundation fellow at those institutions as well as Korea and Yonsei Universities.

Natalie Harvey has dedicated 24 years to the field of education, with 9 of those years serving as an administrator in the roles of principal and deputy principal. She holds a Master's degree in education and is pursuing a Ph.D. in educational leadership. Natalie has a wealth of international teaching experience, having taught in Jamaica, the United States, Venezuela, Mexico, and China. She is a contributing author on English Language Teaching and a presenter on data integration and its role in school development. Natalie firmly believes in educating the whole child, recognizing that for a student to be truly successful, we must develop their academic, social, and emotional well-being. She also strongly values the role of the family as the most powerful force in a child's education, understanding that parental involvement and support are critical to a student's growth and development. Throughout her career, Natalie has demonstrated a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential. Her expertise, passion, and dedication to the field of education make her a highly respected leader in her community.

Stephanie is the Founder and CEO of TeachUp. From educator to entrepreneur, she is passionate about providing high-quality and affordable education solutions to schools and education organisations around the world.

Prior to launching TeachUp, Stephanie was Regional Head of Development for Tes Global (APAC), where she was responsible for growing the teacher training and professional development arm of the business. A frequent panellist and thought leader at region-wide conferences and showcases, Stephanie also hosted regular webinars and events on the company’s behalf.

Donald is the Head of Education at the British Council China and the regional lead for international mobility.
He has over 18 years of international education experience in Singapore, the UK and China, and deep knowledge in the higher education partnerships, transnational education, science and research collaborations. With a strong track record of market insight analysis in fostering bilateral and multi-lateral education collaborations, key stakeholder management of government relationships and higher education institutions, corporate partnership management and business development.

Hailing from the UK, with a degree in Sports and Recreation Management from the University of Edinburgh, Josh has been at the forefront of the Experiential Education industry in China for over a decade since moving in Beijing in 2007 and then settling in Hong Kong in 2018. As the Managing Director of The Hutong, Josh is keen to apply learnings from a mature industry in the UK, to a younger and flourishing growth industry with a cultural understanding that transcends international borders. He is a passionate advocate of the power of experiential learning to promote growth and empowerment, both in schools and in the workplace.

With more than 16 years of experiences, Brooke started her consulting career in WTW Beijing, she then relocated to WTW Hong Kong providing human capital advisory in various areas including job levelling, compensation review, workforce analytics & long-term incentive design. Brooke now is leading the Rewards Data Intelligence practice in WTW, covering China, Hong Kong SAR & Macau SAR.

Key experiences include:
Rewards Consulting: Partnered with clients to reshape total rewards strategy and redesign of compensation, and career architectures. Key client sectors include, but not limited to, banking, insurance, investment banking, asset management, consumer goods & retail, property & real estate as well as education in both China and Hong Kong.
Rewards Analytics: Brooke manages the largest rewards database for China and Hong Kong, with a total of more than 1.5 million employee rewards data. Trends & insights are drawn from the analytics led by her and her team.
Assessment: Brooke is also accredited for WTW’s assessment tool, WAVE, helping clients enhance leadership and succession management, candidate selection, people development as well as overall employee experience. 

Education:
Brooke attended Renmin University, People’s Republic of China, where she earned a bachelor degree in human resource management.

Peter is currently Assistant Headteacher for Safeguarding and Pupil Safety at Harrow Beijing. Previously serving as Assistant Headteacher of Whole School Inclusion, Well-being, Student Support and Whole School Designated Safeguarding Lead, Peter is also a teacher of English Language and Literature at the school, and has been on the steering committee for a number of CIS inspections. He is fully qualified and committed to pastoral inclusion, learning diversity, safeguarding, mental health, thus promoting the education and well-being of children, young people and adults at all times, integrating and enhancing the development of teaching, learning, pastoral education and assessment.

Tan Wenfei is the Head of Northern China, Education and Skills as well as the Head of English Language Training, Market Access and Policy at the Department for Business and Trade (DBT). She has joined British Embassy Beijing since 2015, starting with the Advanced Manufacturing and Transport Directorate and then the Education and Skills Sector at DBT. Nationwide, she’s now leading on the trade and investment promotion focusing on English Language Training, and oversees Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) work in Northern China.

Wenfei has extensive experience in working with a wide range of government departments, international organizations and businesses across various sectors.
