Guy Dru Drury MBE is the Managing Director (China) for Coventry University Group and is based in Beijing.

A sinologist with more than 15 years’ experience in China and SE Asia he previously supported UK and international corporates build their business and policy networks in-country and across the Asia-Pacific region.

Guy was awarded an MBE for services to UK-China business in June 2017.

As Chair of the KBS Alumni Club Beijing, she leads regular professional and social gatherings — including casual English quiz nights — to address the widespread social isolation many overseas graduates face upon returning to China.
She specialises in building sustainable bilingual alumni networks, bridging gaps between UK university career services, returning graduates, and multinational employers in China. Her insights focus on how low-pressure community events help young returnees rebuild connections and boost long-term employability.

With a rich 20+ years’ experience in international education, Ruoshui has worked on senior roles at various institutions and educational companies both in the UK and China extensively leading on successful projects and operations of educational and arts collaborations, initiatives, and partnerships.

Jaymee Gonzales is the UKVI Visa Outreach Officer for North and Central China, and Mongolia.

Jaymee actively engages with key stakeholders to represent UKVI at their online and offline activities to educate audiences about UKVI’s latest policies and requirements. She also seeks feedback from customers to drive innovation and improve customer experience.

UK Visas and Immigration is responsible for making millions of decisions every year about who has the right to visit or stay in the United Kingdom, with a firm emphasis on national security and a culture of customer satisfaction.

Michael Lee is Director and Co-Founder of the Centre for Global Citizenship Studies
(CGCS), which he founded in 2021 to solve a problem he had watched for years: students
doing serious, difficult work overseas and coming home with nothing formal to show for
it. CGCS has partnered with WildChina Education, its exclusive representative in China, to
bring its qualifications and programmes to schools and students across the country.

CGCS is a UK Ofqual-regulated awarding centre delivering Level 3 qualifications in global
citizenship, service and leadership, worth 16 UCAS tariff points, with an optional route to
US semester credit through Hartwick College as School of Record. Before CGCS, Michael
spent two decades in transnational education, including senior roles at London South
Bank University, Damelin and the University of Greenwich, building blended and online
provision across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and North America. He holds an MBA from
Griffith University. CGCS was named Study Abroad Provider of the Year at WYSTC in 2023
and Best Education Supplier at the ASEAN School Awards. Michael lives in Bangkok.

Vicky is an accomplished international education leader with nearly two decades of experience spanning Australia, China, and the United States. Recognised for her strategic vision and transformative leadership, she has built a distinguished career leading strategy development, academic innovation, curriculum building, faculty growth, and whole-school culture shift across some of the most respected international education environments in Asia.

Vicky is passionate about making a meaningful difference, supporting students and teachers through inclusive and authentic leadership. A strong advocate for diversity and collaboration, she brings valuable multicultural perspectives shaped by her personal education experience and early teaching career in the United States and Australia. With academic foundations in Chinese and English literature, East Asian Studies, and intercultural education, Vicky brings a uniquely global and research-informed perspective to educational leadership.

Vicky has recently served in various senior leadership capacities within a renowned education group, both at individual schools and at the head office, where she strengthened her belief in a value-oriented, strengths-based approach and pedagogical leadership. Her most recent role as the Head of Secondary School at an International Chinese School in Beijing was preceded by key leadership positions, including Education Director, Director of Academics, Curriculum Director, and Head of Faculty, since she joined there in 2016. She has played a pivotal role in establishing and developing new schools and in driving excellence in teaching and learning across a network of schools, especially through culturally responsive and concept driven educational frameworks.

Vicky holds a Doctor of Education from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA, and a Master of Teaching from The University of Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia. A Master of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Wisconsin, USA, and a Dual Bachelor of Arts from Beijing Normal University.

Perry Smith is a diplomat at the British Embassy responsible for the Chevening scholarship and regional engagement in China. Perry was previously posted to the British Consulate-General in Guangzhou, and worked at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in London on a range of economic, multilateral and political affairs. Earlier in his career he worked at the UK Treasury on economic policy.

Doris Tang is the Director of English Assessment at Pearson Greater China, where she oversees the strategic planning and business development of Pearson’s English assessment portfolio, including PTE Academic and the Pearson English International Certificate (PEIC), across the Greater China region.

With deep expertise in the international language assessment industry, Doris is committed to driving the localization and innovation of Pearson’s English assessment products in the Chinese market. She has been instrumental in fostering strategic partnerships between Pearson and leading Chinese universities and educational institutions.

Passionate about career development and talent empowerment, Doris has championed initiatives such as the Pearson PTE Campus Trainee Program, which equips university students with language certifications, hands-on project experience, and systematic career development support to boost their employability. She firmly believes that English assessment serves not only as a gateway to higher education but also as a vital bridge connecting academic achievement with career success.

Daniel is British and first moved to China in 2010 to teach physics to Chinese high school students.He now serves as the Executive Head of Schools for Daystar Academy Beijing, a private internationally-oriented bilingual school dedicated to cultivating a generation of social innovators. He is also the Founding President of the Network of Enriching Students and Schools in China (NESSIC), a not-for-profit social venture with over 50 member schools and growing.

He holds a PhD in the Economics of Education and Political Economy from the University of Bath, and Masters Degrees from UCL in n leadership and Manchester University in educational technology.

Sisi Xi is Partner and Head of Global Marketing & Operations, focusing on international education finance, cross-border payments, and global business development.

She has led the expansion of EasyTransfer’s business from serving Chinese international students to users across 172 countries and regions, with a strong focus on major study destinations including the UK.

She is also involved in the development of Mint, a digital financial product designed for UK international students, offering physical and virtual cards, global payments and transfers, and convenient financial services to support students throughout their overseas study and living journey.
