What is the Position Paper?
In response to demand from member companies, the British Chambers of Commerce in China have launched their inaugural Position Paper to provide advocacy and representation on behalf of British businesses operating in China. In these unprecedented times, there is more need than ever for British businesses to be able to speak with a strong, unified voice.
Informed by advocacy consultations with British businesses across a range of sectors, the Chambers will publish the Position Paper in early May. This will be the first time that British business in China has taken a united stance on the business environment in China.
The Paper is the product of a process collecting the voice of British business on the regulatory barriers that they face, areas of opportunity for bilateral cooperation and recommendations for market access reform. This data has been gathered through a combination of roundtable discussions, in-depth interviews and extensive surveys. The Paper will communicate the needs of British business to the UK and China governments, as well as the business community as a whole, in order to encourage further dialogue and enact meaningful change.
Panel Discussion
A panel of to-be-confirmed experts will discuss the content and outcomes of the Paper following the launch.
