Melody Wang leads the litigation and investigation practice of Shanghai Lang Yue Law Firm in joint operation with Allen & Overy. She focuses her practice on complex disputes and investigations, often in a cross-border context. Melody is also an industry leader in the areas of PRC state secrets, sovereign information, trade secrets and the data privacy regimes. In addition to her work on behalf of clients before Chinese government agencies, she has been appointed as an expert witness or as a consulting counsel for numerous foreign proceedings (eg the U.S., Hong Kong and Singapore) involving Chinese law issues.

Chris Torrens is a Partner in Control Risks' Greater China and North Asia region, based in Beijing. Chris advises multinational clients on risk and strategy, particularly in the areas of geopolitical, regulatory and compliance risk. He is also responsible for the company's Chinese client base, advising both state-owned and private Chinese multinational companies on global risk management, particularly across Africa, the Middle East and the Americas. Chris has a BA Honors degree in Modern Chinese Studies from the University of Leeds and an MBA from the China-Europe International Business School. His book, Doing Business in China, was published by The Economist Group in 2010.

Sun Yin has more than 14 years of work experience in management consulting. She has significant expertise in mergers & acquisitions, divestiture, with focus on Day one planning and execution across multiple functional domains, carve out, joint venture setup, M&A strategy, and business due diligence. Her focused areas are high tech and energy industries across US, Europe, Japan, and China.
Sun Yin earned her master degree at University of Bath, with major in Finance Engineering, and holds a bachelor degree in Economics from Renmin University of China. Yin is fluent in Mandarin and English.

He has lived in China over 10 years after graduating with distinction from a master's degree in Organisational Management from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
