（WEBINAR) Understanding the Draft Amendment of China’s Trademark Law

The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) is soliciting public comments on the Draft Amendment of the Trademark Law until 27 February, 2023. You can click here​ to read the full draft.

This is the fifth amendment to China's Trademark Law with some of proposed changes aiming at improving trademark protection, including combating bad-faith filing and streamlining trademark procedures.

The British Chamber of Commerce in China is hosting a session to interpret the proposed changes to the law and implications for foreign businesses if changes are enacted. We are pleased to have William Wenquan YANG, Partner at Panawell & Partners to present on the draft amendment and take questions from the audience. We are also hoping that the insights from Mr. Yang can inform the comments the Chamber and members are going to submit to the CNIPA.

Please note that it is a hybrid session and conducted in English. In-person attendance will be limited and on a first-come-first-served basis. The event is free for members of BritCham China, BritCham Southwest and BritCham Guangdong, and 100 yuan per person for non-members.
