Steve Allen
Founding Head Master at Lady Eleanor Holles International School FoshanSteve Allen, a talented educator and school leader, brings more than 30 years' experience to LEH International School, Foshan. Under his leadership, A* grades at both IGCSE and Advanced Level jumped to 45% in his previous school, and over 100 students were presented awards for "Top in the World or Top in Thailand" by Cambridge International Examinations. Importantly, 95% of his students were accepted by their first-choice university, including 20% to Oxbridge and Ivy League universities.
Sarah Chidgey
China and Hongkong Lead:Education at Department for International TradeSarah has worked as China & Central/South Asia Lead for the UK education portfolio since September 2017. In this role Sarah works with UK providers in a number of education sub-sectors in order to grow their international presence and promote UK education globally. Prior to joining the UK civil service in 2008, Sarah worked for the United Nations World Food Programme in Rome, and before that a public affairs company named DeHavilland. Sarah holds an undergraduate degree in social anthropology from King’s College, Cambridge University and a postgraduate degree in international development from Birkbeck, University of London. Currently taking part in LSE’s Chinese Language and Culture for Business programme, Sarah has recently started studying towards HSK 4 in Mandarin.
Kevin Elliott
Director of Business Administration at Dulwich College BeijingKevin Elliott is originally from Stratford upon Avon in the UK. After over ten years in teaching Kevin moved into school business administration in 2009. Since then he has worked as the Director of Finance and Business at Canadian Academy, Kobe, the Director of Operations at The British School in Tokyo and now works as the Director of Business Administration at Dulwich College Beijing. This is Kevin’s second spell working in China, he previously worked in hotel management in Hong Kong from 1996 to 1997. Kevin lives in Beijing with his wife Sachi and three children Alex 16, Morgan 14, and Charlie 7.
Julian Fisher
Vice Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce in China and Senior Partner at Venture EducationJulian is the cofounder of Venture Education, Vice Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce in China and the Chair of the Chamber's Education Forum. He is also President of the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation for Northern China.
Venture Education empowers UK education in China with a particular focus on employability, entrepreneurship and gender equality. Recent initiatives have included the Future Female Leaders programme, a report on Girls’ and Women’s education in the UK and strong support for the British Embassy’s Pledge for Progress campaign.
Johnnie Kittermaster
Head of Junior School at Malvern College International LtdHe was previously the Founding Head of Primary at Malvern College Egypt from 2015-2018 before becoming the Founding Head of the Primary School at Malvern College Chengdu in October 2018. Prior to that he was Head of the Junior School at Repton School Dubai 2012-2015.
He started his career in education in the United Kingdom following a 5 year commission in the British Army. Mr. Kittermaster is particularly strong in bringing the British Preparatory School ethos and holistic education to schools internationally having been the Headmaster of Oakwood School Preparatory School near Chichester and worked for many years at Sutton Valence Prep School near Maidstone.
Gerard MacMahon
Executive Master at Wellington College International ShanghaiGerard MacMahon is Executive Master of Wellington College International Shanghai, Huili School Shanghai and Huili Nursery Shanghai.
Gerard graduated from the London School of Economics and trained as an economics teacher at London’s Institute of Education. He began teaching in 1988 in Stokesley, North Yorkshire, and has now spent more than half his 32-year career as a school principal.
From 2004 to 2012, Gerard was headteacher of Sheldon School, Wiltshire, a large, highly successful 11-18 state school. Gerard was made a National Leader of Education in 2010 and Sheldon was identified as one of the top 100 schools in England in 2011.
Gerard moved to Qatar in 2012 to be headmaster of Al Khor International School, one of the world’s largest international schools with over 4,000 students. In January 2016, he moved to China to be Master of Wellington Shanghai.
