Mr. Ma Jun has over thirty years of experience in the fields of economics and finance.
He is currently the Director of the Center for Finance and Development at Tsinghua University, Chairman of the China Green Finance Committee and a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the PBOC.
Ms. Niamh Reynolds has been a Senior Economist and Bank of England Representative based at the British Embassy in Beijing since February 2019. Her key responsibilities include analysing economic and financial developments in China and strengthening the relationship between the UK’s and China’s central bank and regulators.
Ms. Reynolds is also the Head of the British Embassy’s Green Finance team, which is responsible for the UK-China PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) programme and green finance policy analysis and collaboration in China. She jointly leads the UK Embassy’s Green Finance work strand in China ahead of COP26 in London this year.
Before moving to China, Ms. Reynolds was an economist at the Bank of England, covering China, Japan, Korea and Singapore, informing and advising the Bank of England’s Policy Committees. Prior to this, Ms. Reynolds was responsible for analysing the pass through of monetary and financial policies onto domestic interest rates.
She holds a Master degree in Development Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
Callum leads PwC’s corporate responsibility strategy in China and Asia Pacific, working collaboratively to deliver PwC’s local and global community and environment ambitions. His role involves working with the firm’s CR Board to drive PwC’s CR programmes ranging from community partnerships and engagement, to measuring and managing sustainability performance, collaborating with the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Leader, and working with PwC client teams to advise on projects which match his areas of experience.
He is passionate about sustainability and supporting business to take a lead in creating positive social and environmental impact during this critical decade for our planet.
Callum holds a BA in Chinese and Asia Pacific Studies from Leeds University and a postgraduate diploma in Economic Principles from the University of London. He has been living in Beijing since 2006.
Mr. Stefen Shin is currently the Principal Investment Officer at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, where he is a senior member of its investment department. Previous to this role, he has held positions at China Financial Futures Exchange in Shanghai, and leading global investment banks, including UBS, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and JPM. He also has taught at several leading academic institutions, most recently at Central University of Finance and Economics in Beijing. He began his career on Wall Street with JPMorgan, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Columbia University, School of Engineering and Applied Science, in New York City.
Ella (Weikang) Wang has spent over 15 years working on sustainable development in international organizations and the business sector, mainly focusing on climate and energy issues, as well as sustainable finance across China and globally. Her current
responsibility in World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) includes accelerating energy transition and sustainable finance e.g. promoting Chinese overseas investment on renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, blue bond, ecological compensation mechanism etc.
