Accusations of forced technology transfers and theft of intellectual property go to the heart of the ongoing US-China trade war. But just how accurate are these allegations?

While British businesses generally acknowledge that IP protection is improving in China, the ability to protect IP rights was ranked by British businesses as the second most pressing concern in BritCham's Member Sentiment Survey. As China looks to dominate the industries of the future and acquire new and advanced technologies, doubts remain as to how effectively the Chinese authorities will protect foreign patents and technology.

How effective will China's Foreign Investment Law be in prohibiting forced technology transfers? What impact will the US-China trade war have on the protection of patents? Do China's industrial policies threaten the IP rights of British businesses? Join us to hear from IP experts and technology commentators from industry and government as they delve into these pertinent issues.
